Egypt: Red Sea Ports Export 5,000 Tons of Goods to Yemen

The Egyptian Red Sea Ports Authority announced the export of 5,000 tons of goods to Yemen via Port Tawfiq, as part of an active day of operations across the authority’s ports.

According to the authority’s media center, a total of 11 ships were docked at the ports’ quays, handling around 19,000 tons of cargo, along with 767 trucks and 95 cars.

The statement added that import operations included 3,000 tons of goods, 300 trucks, and 67 cars, while exports recorded 16,000 tons of goods, 467 trucks, and 28 cars.

Meanwhile, Safaga Port witnessed the arrival of the vessel Alkudia Express and the departure of the ships Al-Hurriya 2 and Pelagos Express. At Nuweiba Port, operations included the handling of about 3,400 tons of goods and 241 trucks through shuttle trips by three vessels: Sinai, Aour, and Ayla.

From Port Tawfiq, the ship RSM Biessed departed carrying 5,000 tons of cargo bound for Yemen, along with the vessel Queen Rinas. The Red Sea Ports Authority also recorded the arrival and departure of 955 passengers during the same day.
