Final Squad Announced for Yemen’s Olympic Football Team Ahead of AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers

The coaching staff of the Yemeni Olympic football team, led by national coach Captain Amin Al-Suneini, has announced the final 23-player squad that will compete in the qualifiers for the U-23 AFC Asian Cup finals, scheduled to be held in Vietnam from September 3 to 9.

The Yemeni team will participate in Group C, which includes the host Vietnam, along with Singapore and Bangladesh.

The squad includes three goalkeepers: Osama Ali Ahmed Makraf, Mabrouk Kamel Mabrouk bin Talib, and Muhammad Ramadan Shuey Jumaan.

The defenders are: Ahmed Muhammad Al-Badawi, Faisal Muhammad Maarouf, Muhammad Saleh Al-Batoul, Imad Hamoud Al-Judeimah, Nasser Hammadi Al-Asabi, Hashem Fouad Al-Khalaqi, Ali Khalid Al-Daqeen, and Muhammad Naji Al-Qashmi.

The midfielders are: Anwar Hussein Al-Tariqi, Muhammad Khalid Muqbel, Hisham Ahmed Balabil, Muhammad Radi Wadi, Mamdouh Saleh bin Ajaj, and Nasser Abu Bakr Saleh.

For the forward line, Al-Suneini selected: Hamza Mahrous, Abdulaziz Masnoum, Abdulrahman Al-Shami, Omar Al-Kathiri, Qassem Al-Sharafi, and Muhammad Issam Al-Awami.

The mission’s management expressed its appreciation for players Hassan Al-Kumani and Hamza Al-Sarabi for their commitment during the training camp, explaining that their exclusion was due to the squad being limited to only 23 players. It emphasized that the opportunity remains open for them to participate with the national teams in future competitions.
