Israel Intercepts Missile Launched from Yemen

Israeli media reported on Friday that defense systems successfully intercepted a missile launched from Yemen.

Channel 12 Israel stated that the missile broke apart in the air into several projectiles. Despite the difficulty of intercepting it, the incident ended without damage.

The same source noted that air traffic at Ben Gurion Airport (east of Tel Aviv) was suspended after the missile was detected.

Meanwhile, Israeli emergency services reported injuries caused by stampedes as people rushed to shelters following the activation of sirens after the missile was launched from Yemen. They also confirmed that fragments from the interception fell on one Israeli town.

Earlier, the Israeli occupation army announced it had intercepted a drone launched from Yemen, which triggered sirens in settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip. In a statement, the army said the interception of the Yemeni drone succeeded after several attempts.
