Hadramout Governor Inspects Areas Affected by Low-Pressure System, Launches Emergency Relief Project

The Governor of Hadramout, Mabkhout Mubarak bin Madhi, conducted a field tour of the districts of Tarim, Shibam, Wadi Al-Ain, and Hura to assess the extent of the damage caused by the current low-pressure system affecting the governorate. He was accompanied by several deputy governors and local officials.
The Governor began his tour in Tarim, where he met with local authorities and listened to a report on the general situation and the district’s urgent needs. In Shibam, he visited several damaged homes, including that of citizen Najib Abdullah Bahashwan, whose family was evacuated. The Governor directed that temporary housing be provided for them immediately.
In the districts of Wadi Al-Ain and Hura, the Governor inspected the damage to the Qa’wdha bridge and several homes and roads. He was briefed on the main challenges facing residents as a result of the floods and rain.
During the tour, the Governor launched an emergency shelter project funded by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center and implemented by Al-Khair Coalition for Humanitarian Relief. The project includes the distribution of urgent shelter materials and supplies to those affected in a number of Al-wadi and Al-sahraa districts, starting with Wadi Al-Ain, Hura, and Al-Qatn.
In his meeting with citizens, the Governor emphasized the need for rapid intervention to reopen roads and provide basic services and shelter. He stressed the importance of concerted efforts to alleviate the suffering of the affected families.
