French Ambassador Arrives in Hadramawt to Discuss Cooperation and Support Development Programs

The Ambassador of France to Yemen, Catherine Corm-Kammoun, arrived on Saturday in Hadramawt Governorate, eastern Yemen, on an official visit aimed at reviewing the situation in the governorate and discussing areas of cooperation with local authorities.
Upon her arrival at Riyan International Airport in the city of Mukalla, the French Ambassador was received by the Assistant Deputy Governor of Hadramawt for Women’s Affairs, Abeer Al-Hadhrami, and the Assistant Deputy Governor for Youth Affairs and Civil Society Organizations, Murad Ba’alawi.
According to the official Facebook page of the local authority, the two officials welcomed the French Ambassador, emphasizing the importance of the visit in strengthening cooperation and coordination between the two sides, reviewing the conditions in the governorate, and discussing opportunities to support developmental and humanitarian programs and projects to serve the local community and enhance development and stability efforts.
The visit comes within the framework of France’s interest in monitoring the conditions in Yemeni governorates under the control of the internationally recognized government, strengthening partnership with local authorities and relevant entities, and exploring areas of joint cooperation to support sustainable development efforts.
