UN Announces Arrival of More Than 441,000 Vaccine Doses in Aden to Support Immunization in Yemen

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The United Nations announced on Monday the arrival of a new shipment containing more than 441,000 doses of life-saving vaccines in the southern Yemeni city of Aden.

In a post on the social media platform X, the UN Office in Yemen stated that the shipment includes vaccines against polio, measles, rotavirus, and other vaccine-preventable diseases.

The office explained that the arrival of these vaccines will help ensure the continuity of immunization services across the country and strengthen efforts to protect children from infectious diseases.

The shipment arrives at a time when Yemen continues to face the spread of several epidemics and diseases amid a humanitarian and economic crisis considered among the worst in the world.
