Yemen Condemns Settlers’ Burning of Two Mosques in the West Bank

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni government strongly condemned the repeated attacks carried out by Israeli settlers against Palestinian citizens in the occupied West Bank.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated, in a press release, that the burning of the “Grand Mosque” and the “Al-Farooq Mosque” in the villages of “Jiljiliya” and “Mazari’ Al-Nubani” north of Ramallah constitutes “a flagrant violation of international community laws and international humanitarian law, and an unacceptable assault on religious sanctities and the rights and property of civilians.”
It described the actions as “illegal practices that contradict international legitimacy resolutions and directly contribute to fueling tension and undermining all efforts aimed at achieving security and stability in the region.”
The Ministry renewed its call for the international community and UN organizations to take urgent action and “undertake their legal and moral responsibilities to protect the Palestinian people,” and to halt the ongoing Israeli violations and unilateral settlement policies that destroy the prospects for comprehensive peace.
