Egyptian Prime Minister Confirms Cairo’s Full Commitment to Yemen’s Unity and Sovereignty

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly reiterated Egypt’s firm stance regarding the Yemeni crisis, emphasizing Egypt’s support for the legitimate Yemeni government. He also confirmed Egypt’s full commitment to Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as its support for Yemen in all international forums.
Madbouly’s remarks came during a meeting he held on Sunday, May 24, with the Yemeni Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani—as reported by the Egyptian Middle East News Agency (MENA).
During the meeting, Madbouly welcomed Al-Zindani and his accompanying delegation, expressing his appreciation for the historical and brotherly relations connecting the two countries. He reaffirmed Egypt’s keenness to support bilateral cooperation with Yemen in a manner that serves the interests of both peoples.
Furthermore, Madbouly stressed the importance of integration and coordination between the two countries in light of regional developments and challenges.
For his part, Al-Zindani emphasized the importance of building relations among regional states based on respect for international law and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries.
During the meeting, Al-Zindani pointed to the strength of bilateral relations and shared interests with Egypt, taking into account the location of both countries in the Red Sea region.
He expressed his hope to enhance bilateral cooperation and support Yemeni capabilities across various fields, with a particular focus on economic cooperation and expanding partnerships with the private sector.
