FAO: Majority of Yemen’s Population in Need of Urgent Humanitarian Aid

Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:
The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) stated that Yemen remains among the top five food crises in the world, in light of worsening humanitarian conditions.
The organization mentioned, in a post on its “X” platform account, that approximately 18.2 million people in Yemen face acute food insecurity.
It added that it is working with its partners to enhance community resilience and protect agricultural livelihoods in an effort to break the cycle of hunger in the country.
According to United Nations estimates, the majority of Yemen’s population requires urgent humanitarian assistance as a result of the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
