Italian media reported that 15 Italians are stranded on Socotra Island in Yemen. The group had departed from Abu Dhabi on the only weekly flight to the island, but due to the war in Yemen, they do not know how to return.

It was reported that the return flight of FlyArabia to the United Arab Emirates was canceled due to the low-cost airline, and it could be rescheduled for May 5th, but there is no certainty.

The Italians who left for Socotra said: ” No body providing us with any news, and we don’t know anything.” It’s a dream but a risky option.

They also reported that the Italian embassy in Abu Dhabi has already contacted Emirates airline to urge the resumption of air communications, and the first return flight could be resumed early on Sunday, May 5th.
