British maritime security company Ambrey reported that a commercial ship was fired upon 102 nautical miles off the coasts of Yemen.
The company stated today, Thursday, that “the ship guards exchanged fire with armed individuals in a boat that approached it.”
It added: “The ship increased its speed and is no longer in danger as well as, no injuries were reported.”
Nearby ship crews were notified to “exercise caution and report any suspicious activity in the area.”
