Exclusive- US aircraft carrier and its attack group are camping off Al-Hodeidah coasts

The US aircraft carrier “Eisenhower” and its attack group are camping off the Houthi-controlled province of Al-Hodeidah in the Red Sea, apparently in preparation for attacking Al-Houthi  armed group . Information indicates that the United States and its allies have considered striking Al-Houthi militants following  offerring them  “either to stop their attacks on ships in the Red Sea or face unspecified reactions”.

Satellite images reviewed by “Yemen monitor” beside A US defense official talked to USNI News indicates that the attack group of the aircraft carrier Dwight D. Eisenhower is floating off the coasts of Yemen.

On Thursday the US Central Command said  that “the Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier group has been deployed within the area of operations of the US Fifth Fleet  to support maritime navigation security and stability in the Middle East”.

The “Eisenhower” was camped in the Gulf of Aden after being transferred in December from the Arab Gulf.

Eisenhower camped alongside with  other warships: Philippine Sea, gravely and stathem: USS Gravely (DDG-107) and USS Stethem (DDG-63).

The strike group together with the aircraft carrier Eisenhower (Carrier Strike Group 2) includes squadrons of fighter aircraft, helicopters specializing in cyber attacks and other forces.

On December 18, the Pentagon announced an initiative to protect commercial traffic in the region almost a month after attacks on commercial ships in the Red Sea by the Houthis who say that  they are targeting only Israeli ships or ships owned by Israeli businessmen.

The United States and 12 of its allies issued what was seen as a final warning to  Al-Houthi rebels on Wednesday to stop their attacks on ships in the Red Sea otherwise they will face a possible military action.

The Associated Press reported that a senior Biden administration official said at a press conference on Wednesday that the Houthis should “not expect another warning” .
