The Yemeni Ministry of Endowments and Guidance mourned with deep sorrow and grief the death of the esteemed preacher, Engineer Sheikh Mohammed Al-Maqrami, who passed away at dawn today in Mecca after a decades-long, prolific career in preaching and education.
The deceased was known for his luminous advocacy centered around the Qur’anic approach to refining souls and deepening the love of God in hearts. He supported his message with a calm and dignified style, brimming with faith, spiritual purification, and tolerance.
Despite specializing in aeronautical engineering, he dedicated his time and effort to serving the call to faith, demonstrating his ability to simplify the meanings of the Qur’an and encourage people toward contemplation and spiritual elevation.
According to the Ministry’s statement, Sheikh Al-Maqrami was an active contributor to the Ministry’s programs and activities aimed at promoting moderation and balance, and spreading a culture of tranquility and serenity in society. The Ministry affirmed its intention to publish the deceased’s advocacy works and disseminate them as an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) to immortalize his positive impact.
The statement concluded by offering condolences to the deceased’s family and loved ones, praying to God to forgive him, have mercy on him, reward him with the best recompense, place his good efforts in the scale of his good deeds, and elevate his status in the highest paradise (Firdaws Al-A’la).
