Yemen Monitor/Newsroom:

Hadramout Governor, Mabkhout Mubarak Bin Madhi, has directed an urgent increase in fuel allotments for the power station in Du’an District to enhance the station’s operation and increase the hours of electricity supply to citizens in the district.

The Governor’s directive came during a meeting in the city of Al-Mukalla on Friday with Engineer Mazen Bin Makhashin, the Director-General of the Public Electricity Corporation in Hadramout Coast, along with the Director-General of Du’an District, Abdullah Maqbil, and social figure Mohsen Al-Mahdar.

The Governor pointed out the local authority’s keenness in Hadramout to develop basic services and emphasized the importance of improving electricity supplies in Du’an as part of the governorate’s ongoing efforts to alleviate the suffering of residents and ensure the continuity of services amid the current challenges facing the governorate.

This step comes in response to the increasing pressures on the electricity sector in Hadramout, given the urgent need to improve the quality of electricity service, which directly affects the daily lives of citizens and the development of the governorate in general.
