Heavy rainfall in Bani Saad District of Al-Mahwit Governorate caused a house to collapse on a family, resulting in the deaths of two children and injuries to six other family members.
Local sources confirmed that rescue teams worked to recover the victims from under the rubble following the incident, which occurred late last night. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital to receive necessary medical care.
Reports indicated that the house collapsed completely due to accumulated rain and foundational cracks, highlighting the deteriorating condition of buildings in rural areas and their vulnerability to climate-related impacts.
