Yemeni Defense Ministry: Patience Has Run Out; We Will Respond to Iranian Aircraft Violating Our Airspace

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:
The Yemeni Ministry of Defense said on Monday that it would take an “appropriate response” to what it described as “Iranian aircraft violating Yemeni airspace,” holding the Iranian regime legally and morally responsible for the incident.
In a televised statement broadcast by Yemen TV, the Minister of Defense said that the legitimate government had “tried, in cooperation with the regional and international communities and through all diplomatic and legal means, to persuade the Iranian regime and the Houthi militia to return to the right path and refrain from violating Yemeni airspace.”
He said that “the latest violation is not the first, but it differs from previous incidents because it represents a challenge to international legitimacy,” stressing that “patience has run out” and that the armed forces would confront what he described as “hostile aircraft violating Yemeni airspace and sovereignty” using “all available means.”
The minister added that the armed forces “will teach the enemy a lesson,” in his words, reaffirming that Yemen “has a people and a leadership that will defend it on land, at sea, and in the air, regardless of the consequences.”
He also held the Iranian regime “fully legally and morally responsible” for the consequences of what he described as the violation of Yemeni airspace.
There was no immediate comment from the Iranian side or the Houthi group regarding the statement.
