The Supreme Economic Council in Yemen held a meeting today, Thursday, in the interim capital, Aden, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Shayea Mohsen al-Zindani. The session was dedicated to discussing the economic deterioration and measures to alleviate the living hardships of citizens.
The meeting reviewed a package of financial and service-related files, highlighting the progress in implementing approved government reforms.
Members discussed the executive mechanism for the Presidential Leadership Council’s Resolution No. (11), which pertains to the approval of the “Comprehensive Economic Reform Priorities Plan.”
Prime Minister Dr. Shayea al-Zindani emphasized that the current stage requires a “spirit of national responsibility and institutional integration” to face the suffocating challenges the country is undergoing.
Al-Zindani stressed that the citizens’ livelihood and the development of basic services are at the forefront of the government’s priorities, noting that work is underway to implement realistic reforms aimed at improving the efficiency of financial collection and controlling public spending.
