Ongoing Tribal Influx to “Matrah Al-Rayyan” in Al-Jawf for the 22nd Consecutive Day

Yemen Monitor/ Al-Jawf/ Exclusive:
Today, Thursday, a delegation from the Hashid tribe, based in Amran Governorate, arrived at “Matrah Al-Rayyan” east of Al-Jawf Governorate in northeastern Yemen.
Sheikh Muhammad Al-Hashidi, who headed the tribal delegation, said that Hashid tribe came today to confirm its support for Matrah Al-Rayyan and its demands to release the “Lahiqat Dahm” (the woman under Dahm’s protection). He pointed out that the Houthis have become an enemy to all Yemenis, which requires unifying ranks and confronting the group that has targeted the tribe (as he described it).
The tribal gathering continues for the twenty-second consecutive day, with tribes arriving almost daily from various Yemeni governorates since Sheikh Hamad bin Fadgham announced his arrival in government-held areas, fleeing Houthi control, and calling for support and a tribal rallying against the group that detained the woman who sought refuge with him (his Lahiqah).
The leader of the gathering, “Al-Marzouqi,” denied the day before yesterday in a statement any negotiations with the Houthis, while media sources report that the group is sending military reinforcements to Al-Jawf Governorate.
The “Qanaw” front, east of Al-Jawf, witnessed limited clashes between the Houthis and Yemeni government forces, amid escalatory rhetoric warning of a potential outbreak of war once again.
