Yemeni Defense Minister: Qualitative Training Enhances Army Readiness for Modern Warfare Requirements

Yemeni Defense Minister Lieutenant General Taher Al-Aqili emphasized that qualitative training and qualification represent a fundamental pillar for raising the efficiency of the armed forces and enhancing their readiness to keep pace with the requirements of modern warfare, stressing the importance of developing the military education system across various specialties.
This came during his attendance, in Marib Governorate, at a graduation ceremony for a new batch of specialized courses affiliated with the Operations Authority within the programs of the second training term for the year 2026, where he conveyed the greetings of the political and military leadership to the graduates, praising the efforts of the Operations Authority and specialized schools in preparing and qualifying military cadres.
Al-Aqili pointed to the necessity of keeping pace with rapid developments in the fields of military and security training, and supplying military units with scientifically and field-qualified competencies capable of dealing with modern challenges and variables.
He also praised the participation of the female element in a number of qualitative specialties, most notably cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, considering that these competencies represent an important addition to the military institution.
For his part, the Chief of the Operations Authority, Major General Khaled Al-Ashwal, confirmed that qualitative training and qualification programs contribute to preparing cadres who possess the necessary skills to deal efficiently with the requirements of modern military operations, noting the continued development of these programs with the support of the Ministry of Defense leadership and the General Staff Presidency.
The ceremony concluded with honoring the top male and female graduates from various specialized courses, in recognition of their excellence and distinction in the training programs.
