Yemen Monitor / Sana’a / Special:
The leader of the Houthi group, Abdulmalik Al-Houthi, has reaffirmed his forces’ readiness for any upcoming escalation in the region, accusing the United States of preparing for a new round of war against Iran, despite its previous failure, according to his claim.
In a televised speech on Monday, Al-Houthi attacked American steps to prevent the export of Iranian oil, considering that the US blockade imposed on Iranian ports negatively affects the global economic situation.
He stated that “American preparations for the upcoming escalation are based on exploiting certain Arab countries that did not benefit from the lessons of the previous round.”
Al-Houthi launched a sharp attack on the Gulf countries, which he considered a launching pad for an upcoming American escalation, and warned of the repercussions of any future war and its serious impacts on the region in general, and even more so on the world.
He reaffirmed the firmness of their “clear principled positions,” referring to his forces’ engagement in supporting Iran according to the same equations his group announced during the previous round.
Al-Houthi criticized the continued hosting of US military bases by some Arab regimes and their bearing of financial burdens to protect them, accusing those regimes of providing political, media, and intelligence facilities that serve Washington and Tel Aviv, and contribute to stirring chaos in the region.
Al-Houthi considered the Lebanese authority to be complicit with Israel, and also attacked Bahrain and Kuwait over their measures to revoke citizenship against those who support Iranian aggression against them.
