Sheikh Al-Haneq to “Yemen Monitor”: The Battle to Reclaim Sana’a Has Entered Its Decisive Phase, And the Hour of Salvation Approaches

Yemen Monitor / Marib / Newsroom:

Member of the House of Representatives and Chairman of the Supreme Council for the Resistance of Sana’a, Mansour Al-Haneq, confirmed that what he described as the “hour of salvation” has drawn near. He emphasized that Yemenis are moving toward reclaiming the capital, Sana’a, and ending the Iran-backed Houthi project by unifying the national ranks and supporting the army and the resistance to complete the battle of liberation.

In an exclusive statement to “Yemen Monitor” on the sidelines of the expanded meeting of the sheikhs and notables of Sana’a Governorate in the city of Marib, Al-Haneq said that Yemeni tribes and resistance forces have proven over the past years that they are the first line of defense against the Imami project. He stressed that the ongoing battle today transcends the military dimension, as it is a battle for identity, dignity, and the future of a nation.

He added that the Yemeni people reject the continued control of the Houthi group and the transformation of the country into an arena of influence for the Iranian project, pointing out that the popular will remains committed to restoring the state and the republican system.

Al-Haneq emphasized that Sana’a “will return on the shoulders of the heroes who believe in Yemen’s right to freedom, the state, and the republic,” calling on various national forces, sheikhs, and notables to move past differences and unify efforts behind the goal of restoring state institutions and ending Houthi control.

He noted that the current phase requires a broad national alignment and genuine support for the army and the resistance, as this is the path toward liberating Yemenis from the grip of the militias and restoring the envisioned state.
