A high-ranking Saudi security and military delegation arrived this morning at Al-Rayyan International Airport in Hadhramaut, in a visit seen as highly significant amid the tense security situation unfolding in the province.
The delegation’s arrival comes in the wake of an attack on the headquarters of the First Military Region by forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC), prompting an immediate Saudi move aimed at stabilizing the situation and containing further escalation.
According to informed sources, the visit seeks to normalize the military and security crisis in Hadhramaut as part of ongoing Saudi efforts to prevent additional tensions, ensure the safety of civilians, and protect both military and civilian institutions.
Local sources said the Saudi delegation is expected to hold a series of intensive meetings with the province’s military and civilian leaders to discuss mechanisms for restoring security balance, developing joint action plans, and strengthening cooperation to maintain stability in the region.
