Following Al-Khanbashi’s Oath: President Al-Alimi Stresses Normalization of Life in Hadramout

Salem Ahmed Saeed Al-Khanbashi took the constitutional oath before the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC), Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, at Ma’ashiq Palace today, Saturday, on the occasion of his appointment as the new Governor of Hadramout Governorate.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the PLC Chairman met with the new Hadramout Governor, Salem Al-Khanbashi, in the presence of the Prime Minister. The meeting addressed the priorities for the coming phase, chief among them the normalization of conditions in the governorate and achieving the aspirations of its people for security, stability, and development.

The President reiterated that Hadramout will remain at the forefront of the state’s priorities, stressing the necessity of implementing vital projects, particularly in the electricity sector, and enabling the people of the governorate to participate effectively in decision-making.

The Chairman expressed his confidence in the ability of Hadramout’s people to support the local authority’s efforts to improve conditions, calling for the governorate to remain a model of security and the rule of law.

He emphasized the need to strengthen broad partnerships with all forces, ensuring the governorate is kept away from any internal tensions or disagreements, and to dedicate efforts to its development and alleviating the suffering of the population. He affirmed the importance of consolidating Hadramout’s stature in the battle to restore state institutions and end the Houthi militia coup.

Concluding the meeting, Al-Alimi expressed great appreciation for the support Hadramout receives from the Coalition to Support Legitimacy, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
