Houthis Announce Dismantling of Espionage Network Linked to US and Israel

Yemen Monitor/ Newsroom:

The armed Houthi group said on Saturday that it had carried out a security operation resulting in the dismantling of an espionage network linked to Israeli, American, and Saudi intelligence.

The Interior Ministry in Sana’a, which is run by the group, stated that the operation, which it named “And Their Plot Was (Destined) to Fail,” came after tracking and monitoring operations that concluded with the arrest of the network’s members and the exposure of its modus operandi.

According to the statement, the network was operating from a joint operations room in Saudi territory and was managing cells inside Yemen to carry out espionage activities and target military and civilian sites.

The Ministry clarified that some elements of the network had received training in surveillance, communication, and the use of advanced espionage devices.

It said that the exposure of this network comes in the context of what it described as external attempts to destabilize Yemeni security and influence the stance in support of Gaza, confirming that investigations into the case are ongoing.
