Presidential Council Member Mahmoud al-Subaihi Reviews “Aden Net” Development Project

Member of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council, Lieutenant General Mahmoud Ahmed Salem al-Subaihi, reviewed today in Aden the project to develop and improve telecommunications and internet services, “Aden Net,” in the presence of Minister Shadi Basara.
During a visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Telecommunications and the General Corporation, he listened to an explanation regarding the technical and technological preparations for the project. It is considered one of the strategic projects aimed at enhancing internet services in the temporary capital, Aden, and improving their efficiency.
Al-Subaihi discussed the level of technical and operational performance with the Executive Director General of the Public Telecommunications Corporation, Engineer Wael Tarmoum, along with ways to strengthen the Corporation’s capabilities and develop its services.
The Presidential Leadership Council member emphasized the importance of giving top priority to improving the performance of telecommunications and internet networks in the liberated governorates. He also stressed the need to work on developing the sector’s infrastructure to meet citizens’ needs and contribute to enhancing service stability and economic development.
Lieutenant General Mahmoud al-Subaihi underlined the necessity of doubling efforts to overcome existing challenges, accelerating the implementation of development projects, and upgrading digital and telecommunications services to keep pace with modern developments.
This visit comes within the framework of the political leadership’s keenness to support and develop the telecommunications sector, as it is one of the vital sectors linked to development and the improvement of public services in the country.
