Yemeni Ministry of Endowments Announces Pilgrimage Transport Schedule

Yemen Monitor / Newsroom:

The Minister of Endowments and Guidance, Sheikh Turki al-Wadei, announced on Tuesday the completion of all arrangements and preparations for the Hajj season of 1447 AH. The transport of Yemeni pilgrims is set to begin on May 5 and 6.

Minister al-Wadei stated that flight schedules have been coordinated with Yemen Airways and the General Authority for Regulating Land Transport Affairs to ensure a smooth and seamless flow of pilgrims to the Holy Sites.

He noted that the first flight for pilgrims will depart on 19 Dhu al-Qi’dah (May 6), while the first overland trip will commence on 18 Dhu al-Qi’dah (May 5).

The Minister emphasized that the Ministry adopted an early operational approach this year, shifting from real-time season management to proactive strategic planning. He explained that the Ministry worked early on to re-engineer procedures and implement digital integration to reduce paperwork and accelerate decision-making. Furthermore, coordination with relevant Saudi authorities was intensified to ensure efficiency from the registration stage until the pilgrims’ return.

The Minister considered the completion of the electronic link to the Hajj services system and the issuance of all visas for Yemeni pilgrims by the beginning of Dhu al-Qi’dah as a confirmation that preparations are proceeding according to a structured timeline.

In this context, Minister al-Wadei expressed his appreciation for the facilities provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assist the mission in its duties, enabling Yemeni pilgrims to perform their rituals with comfort and ease.
