Yemen’s Army Chief of Staff Inspects Wounded Soldiers of the First Military Region, Praises Their Sacrifices

The Chief of the General Staff of the Yemeni Armed Forces and Commander of Joint Operations, Lt. Gen. Dr. Sagheer bin Aziz, on Saturday inspected the condition of wounded soldiers from the First Military Region who are receiving treatment in hospitals in Marib governorate, after being injured in attacks carried out by armed groups affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council against the armed forces in Hadramawt.

During the visit, Lt. Gen. bin Aziz was accompanied by the Assistant Chief of the Logistics Support Authority, Brig. Gen. Abdulalim Hassan, the Director of the War Operations Department, Brig. Gen. Dr. Yahya Al-Eziri, as well as a number of commanders from the First Military Region. He reviewed the level of medical services and healthcare being provided to the wounded at Marib General Hospital Authority and the Military Hospital.

Bin Aziz urged the doubling of efforts and the mobilization of all available resources to ensure comprehensive medical care for the wounded until their full recovery, in appreciation of their great sacrifices in defense of national principles and constitutional gains. He also commended the significant efforts of hospital administrations, doctors, and medical and technical staff, praising their dedication in serving the wounded and the sick.

The army chief of staff expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery for all the wounded who were subjected to what he described as a brutal attack while carrying out their national duty at their positions and camps, as they performed the constitutional tasks entrusted to them in service of the battlefield.

For their part, the wounded soldiers expressed their appreciation and gratitude for the attention shown by the leadership of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, reaffirming their commitment to their pledge and military honor, and their readiness to continue fulfilling their national duty regardless of circumstances and challenges.
