The Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting today, Monday, in Riyadh, with all its members present under the chairmanship of Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, dedicated to discussing economic reforms, as well as the security and service conditions in the governorates under government control.
The Leadership Council praised the completion of the formation of the Supreme Tender Committee and the establishment of the War Wounded Care Authority. It directed the government to redouble efforts to develop sovereign revenues, control spending, and accelerate anti-smuggling plans.
The Presidential Leadership Council reviewed an update on financial and economic performance indicators, and the proposed measures to complete comprehensive reforms.
The Council listened to briefings on security developments, praising the achievements made by the curity apparatus in apprehending those involved in the recent assassinations in Aden, and emphasizing the state’s commitment to combating terrorism.
The Council valued the recent Saudi financial support for the general budget, the extension of the “Masam” mine clearance project, and the continuation of the Reconstruction Program’s projects in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
The meeting also reviewed periodic reports on the implementation of previous decisions and the latest developments in political and regional situations and their repercussions on Yemeni affairs.
